Kaine Co-Sponsors Bipartisan Sportsmen's Act

Legislation would increase opportunities for hunting, fishing and boost outdoor recreation economy.

WASHINGTON, D.C.  Today, U.S. Senator Tim Kaine announced his co-sponsorship of the bipartisan Sportsmen’s Act, which includes a broad array of bipartisan measures to enhance opportunities for hunters, anglers, and outdoor recreation enthusiasts, reauthorize key conservation programs, improve access to public lands, and help boost the outdoor recreation economy. Kaine co-sponsored an earlier version of the bill in the 113th Congress.

A hearing on the provisions of the bipartisan Sportsmen’s Act under the jurisdiction of the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee is scheduled for Thursday, March 12, at 10 a.m. The Senate Environment and Public Works Committee is planning on holding a separate hearing on the provisions under its jurisdiction soon.
