Kaine backs Rx ACCESS Act for active-duty families

"U.S. Sens. Tim Kaine, D-Va., and Tom Cotton, R-Ark., introduced new bipartisan legislation they say would improve access to prescription medications for active-duty servicemembers and their families.

Kaine, a member of the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee, said the Rx Access, Choice, Cost Equity, and Supply Stability Act known as the Rx ACCESS Act would require independent pharmacies participating in the TRICARE program to be 'fairly reimbursed,' to ensure TRICARE beneficiaries can continue to fill prescriptions at the pharmacies they use."
