The National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) provides authorization of appropriations for the Department of Defense (DOD) and other defense-related activities. This legislation also establishes defense policies and restrictions, and administrative matters related to the DOD.
Senator Kaine, a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, will have two deadlines for Fiscal Year 2027 NDAA requests this year.
- Policy requests (statutory language or report language) for the FY27 NDAA will be accepted until 11:59 PM on March 13, 2026.
- Budget requests, including military construction, for the FY27 NDAA will be accepted until four days after the President's Budget Request is released. Please monitor this website for updates.
