Kaine views Moton Museum upgrades

"Virginia U.S. Sen. Tim Kaine made a visit to the Robert Russa Moton Museum in Farmville July 9 as part of a tour through the state.

The visit offered Kaine the opportunity to tour the museum and see upgrades made with $500,000 in federal funding he secured for it in the 2022 fiscal year.

Kaine led and helped pass the bipartisan legislation to commemorate the Moton Museum as a National Historic Site, in honor of its connection to the landmark 1954 Brown v. Board of Education Supreme Court decision, which ordered the desegregation of public schools nationwide."
