Kaine Announces New Senate Foreign Relations Subcommittee Assignments

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Tim Kaine, a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, announced today that he will serve as the Ranking Member of the Foreign Relations Subcommittee on the State Department and United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Management, International Operations and Bilateral International Development for the 114th Congress. Kaine will also continue to serve on the Subcommittee on Near East, South Asia, Central Asia and Counterterrorism, which he previously chaired. In addition, Kaine will continue to serve on the Subcommittee on Western Hemisphere, Transnational Crime, Civilian security, Democracy, Human Rights and Global Women’s Issues as well as join the Europe and Regional Security Cooperation Subcommittee.
